Feature request? [Aug. 14th, 2004|09:37 pm]
Is it possible to implement the friends tracking, like it is done in Semagic? I imagine this may work in the way of the checking new records in friends feed, just check the new users who added or users who removed you from friend list, and sure I'd like to configure the interval of checks ;)

UPDATE http://www.livejournal.com/misc/fdata.bml?user=jdevelop - this will give you some ideas how to implement this functionality in LogJam.

Could you describe how Semagic does "friends tracking"?

When you go to the friends management window and click 'Update' it refreshes the friend list and notifies you of any changes.

i don't think so. i have some code around here somewhere...

i'd like for logjam to work fully offline-- making login optional was a step, as was saving drafts, as was synchronizing an offline copy. the friends view is one of the few main menu options left where you have to wait for a server roundtrip every time.
