I really want to use this program on my laptop. I just have no idea how to install it :).|
I am not sure where I should ask for help, but if possibleplease provide me with some.
Download the file.
su to root.
If you want to use spellcheck and xmms music detection do the following.
yum install xmms-devel
yum install gtkspell-devel
Then execute the following commands, in order, from the directory where you saved file you just downloaded.
bzip2 -d logjam-4.4.0-tar.bz2
tar -xvf logjam-4.4.0.tar
If you got the -devel packages, you can now remove them:
yum remove xmms-devel
yum remove gtkspell-devel

All of those commands are done, but now I do not know what to do next... I am clueless.
If everything worked, logjam should be installed in /usr/local/bin/
you can find out for sure by executing:
which logjam or worst case find / -name logjam
I don't use KDE, so I don't know if it creates a launchy in the panel, but you can execute it manually from that path, or create a shortcut to it on your desktop or in your panel. It's been years since I even looked at KDE, so I'm not going to be much help on telling you exactly how to integrate it - but I'm sure there's a right-click involved somewhere ;)

Thank you, it was there. I know how to add things to the panel. I could have no done it without you :)
More than glad to help. Happy logjamming!
This is totally the operating system for the masses.
