On the mailing list for the Muine Music Player, Link Dupont posted a music player independent script for detecting which song you are listening to. Thought it might be helpful. Maybe you guys have already a good script for this. ?

BTW, does anyone know how to make the _Journal -> _Use Journal update after joining new communities? I'm having to post this through the LJ interface. :/

Log out ("change user"), and then hit "update information" on the login screen.

you don't even have to log out if you hit "cancel". :)

ooh, that's a clever script.

i wanted to try out muine but i couldn't make mono work for ppc. :(

did you try the latest release? According to the Mono 0.31 Release Notes, a “A big change to support thunks was checked by Paolo in to the code generator so we can support large applications” for the PowerPC port (whatever that means :D).
