Config problems [Apr. 5th, 2004|03:36 pm]
checking for gtk+-2.0 glib-2.0 gobject-2.0 libxml-2.0... Package gtk+-2.0 was not found in the pkg-config search path.
Perhaps you should add the directory containing `gtk+-2.0.pc'
to the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable
No package 'gtk+-2.0' found

configure: error: Library requirements (gtk+-2.0 glib-2.0 gobject-2.0 libxml-2.0) not met; consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if your libraries are in a nonstandard prefix so pkg-config can find them.

I'm using Mandrake 10 Community which has GTK+-2.2.4 installed already. 2.2.4 is backwards compatible with 2.2.2, yet it doesn't see it.

Kinda new when it comes to this stuff. Anyone mind helping me out?

Try installing the devel packages (it'll probably want them for all of the things it's checking for in that error message there, so if you don't have those installed, you should go ahead and get them). That fixed everything up for me (I'm on Fedora, but same sort of thing). :)

You should install gtk2-devel package. And some more -devel packages, too.

I'm getting the same problem too. I'm running Debian unstable and had no difficulties compiling 4.3.2 from source. (Yes, I know I can just apt-get LogJam, but the official package lacks HTML preview.) Any packages I should install and/or update to get this working?
