I find it frustrating at times how poorly many of the icons in LJ mood icon sets actually match most of the moods they're supposed to represent. Therefore, I am inspired to suggest the following feature for Logjam.
When editing a post through the LJ web interface, one can select a mood icon, but then enter an alternate mood text to go along with the selected icon, overriding the actual mood text. I suggest LogJam could perhaps do more or less the reverse. LogJam, according to my idea, would keep track of the mood icon set for the account, and keep a downloaded copy of the complete icon set. The current drop-down list of moods, into which the user can type alternate text, would remain, but a new "Icon" button would be added next to it, right above the current "Detect music" button. This button would pop up a palette of all UNIQUE icons from the current icon set, from which the user could select the icon the user thinks best fits the chosen mood, rather than whatever icon the icon set author assigned to that mood without, apparently, actually understanding the meaning of, say, "contemplative" or "pensive" or "thoughtful". I've occasionally had to beat LJ around the head with a large stick in order to get something other than, say, a shit-eating grin for "thoughtful", or "Woe is me, the world is ending" for "pensive".
