LogJam 4.2.1 Released [Jun. 15th, 2003|02:48 pm]
We’ve released LogJam 4.2.1.

You can get it at the LogJam page.

This is primarily a bugfix release. What’s new?
  • Journal backup now properly saves the “preformatted” flag, which it wasn’t doing before.
  • Hebrew updates.
  • You can specifying the encoding of a file when using the “Insert File” tool. (Closes half of #196357.)
  • UI touchups and fixes (Undo/Redo on context menu, fix to make network window work on window managers like ion), FreeBSD 4.8 fix, etc.

The first point above means that your existing export is not quite right. In theory, this LogJam should notice that the version has changed and will try to resync your entire journal the next time you sync. This means (1) don’t be surprised if your synced journal is suddenly empty, and (2) if LogJam doesn’t figure it out you ought to
rm -rf ~/.logjam/servers/LiveJournal/users/yourusername/journal
to delete the older version.

Journal backup does not appear to save correct custom group masks.
All custom security entries end up as:
<security type="custom" allowmask="custom"/>

Aw, lame. I fixed it in CVS (I hope). I'll make another release soon.

Hadn't tried compiling logjam on my SGI in quite a while, but 4.2.1 compiled just fine using only packages from freeware.sgi.com! Yay!

Anyone got a redhat 7.3 package for those of us who have gnome 2.0 under redhat 7.3? I'm having a devil of a time getting the tarball to 'rpm -tb' compile. For some evil reason, the executables get renamed to i386-redhat-linux-logjam through some transform stuff in the Makefile.

help? please? I'm slowly losing my grip on sanity here. 8-)

i don't use redhat, but you might have more luck if you post this as a new entry into the community.
