I applied Brad's patch, so now LoserJabber supports Friend-Only posts. Also, the friends dialog has been redesigned, and there are some new icons in the menus.

And you've enabled all the other options you want by selecting them under "View"? If that doesn't fix it, I don't know how else to help. =/ Or I've misunderstood your problem . . .

Newbie to Ubuntu
Sadly it looks like Logjam has been removed from Ubuntu Wily. I made some attempts at compiling from source. I've been able to compile it successfully but haven't been able to use it to post.
