Backing up comments pages. [Aug. 7th, 2007|12:21 am]

Hi there, I am new to LogJam, and I am currently using it with the latest stable version of Debian. I'm probably just missing something, but is there any way to back up and store the comments pages of my LiveJournal entries as well as the entries themselves?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think Logjam deals with comments at all. I may be wrong.

as far as I know, logjam uses a mechanism built into livejournal to back up the entries. That mechanism doesn't include any of the comments, unfortunately, just the entries.

You're correct that LogJam doesn't back up entries, but LiveJournal does expose a way to back up comments.

These days I use LJRB: http://neugierig.org/software/livejournal/ruby/ , which backs up everything. However, it's mostly useful for more technical users.

I'll download LJRB and play around with it. Thanks!

I'm still trying to set it up. :( Am I going to have to learn Ruby to be able to use this?
