|4.5.3 for Fedora FC4?
||[Feb. 17th, 2006|04:12 pm]
Is there an RPM of 4.5.3 for Fedora FC4? The Fedora Extras site only has 4.5.1 and 4.5.2.|
(I'm currently using 4.5.2 but I'm having the same sqlite error as reported last month by pantsgolem.)
Update: I built my own FC4 RPM for logjam-4.5.3; let me know if you want a copy.
I couldn't find one, so I ended up making my own based on the logjam-4.5.2 from Extras. I would post it for download, but I have no webspace anywhere.
I did think about grabbing the 4.5.3 source
and building it myself - I did it for an earlier version, so it shouldn't take too long.
Yeah, I did too, but I really like using RPM to manage my software, and all I had to do was grab the 4.5.2 src.rpm, the 4.5.3 source, substitute 4.5.3 tarball for the 4.5.2 tarball (Making the appropriate changes in the .spec file) and I ended up with a shiny new 4.5.3 RPM that will likely get replaced properly when the Extras Maintainer for Logjam gets around to releasing an official package.
Aha! I can't find a src.rpm for 4.5.3, so I guess I'll be doing it your way. :)
So what changes did you need to make to the .spec file?
I meant to also say... I've changed the Version field to be 4.5.3 - is there more to it?
Looks like it built OK and when I ran "Synchronize Offline Copy" I didn't see the sqlite errors I'd had before, so I think it's OK.
If anyone else needs an FC4 RPM for logjam-4.5.3, I can host it/email it. :)
