First of all, thanks so much to evan for helping with my SuSE 9.2/KDE 3.4 installation (see the previous entry in this community to see how that went). |
Now.. I'm used to SeMajic's client where I can select my user picture, music, mood and so on -- all on the same screen as the entry form. I haven't seen where to do that in LogJam, though.
Is this already possible? If so how do I display this data when working on an entry on my client.. If not can I beg and plead for it to be developed?
Yep it is possible. Just look into the menus and you should be able to find it. It is there. Sorry I can't be more exact I don't have a way to bring it up from here.
Do the developers read this?
If so, it would be very nice if these basic options could be included on the primary screen of the gui, not buried in menus.
Well I have seen them post and comment from time to time.
It is hidden to streamline it. They might have added a setting to keep it up but you would have to probe into the options to see.
In my version of logjam, which I assume is the same as yours, there is a "View" menu on there are Options of things that you want to see on your entry page "Security, Entry Date, Mood, Picture, Music, Preformatted, Comments"
Just tick whichever ones you want, and it will add those to the screen. E.g I have Security, Entry Date, Mood, Picture, and Music all ticked but don't have Preformatted or Comments (I generally don't disable comments etc) HTH
Ya know, I totally missed the View menu. thanks :)

when you show/hide things in these menus, logjam will remember your settings, too.
i was just wondering if you could help me with something
i am the most computer illiterate person i know, could you help me make my lj friends only?
