Arrrrgh as it were [Jan. 2nd, 2004|12:10 am]
LogJam
logjam
[crazed_lynn]
I have recently changed the linux distribution on my desktop to SuSE 9.0. For business reasons, I will have to stay with it -- at least for now. (I have Mandrake 9.1 on my laptop. Logjam doesn't like it, either.)

configure runs without error. Make perks until it hits icon.c when it barfs up:

icons.c: In function `icons_rarrow_pixbuf':
icons.c:34: error: `logjam_rarrow' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c:34: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
icons.c:34: error: for each function it appears in.)
icons.c: In function `icons_larrow_pixbuf':
icons.c:38: error: `logjam_larrow' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c: In function `icons_lrarrow_pixbuf':
icons.c:42: error: `logjam_lrarrow' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c: In function `icons_initialize':
icons.c:75: error: `logjam_goat' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c:76: error: `logjam_pencil' undeclared (first use in this function)

icons.c:105: error: `logjam_throbber_2' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c:106: error: `logjam_throbber_3' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c:107: error: `logjam_throbber_4' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c:108: error: `logjam_throbber_5' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c:109: error: `logjam_throbber_6' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c:110: error: `logjam_throbber_7' undeclared (first use in this function)
icons.c:111: error: `logjam_throbber_8' undeclared (first use in this function)

I am just too far out of practice with the gnu compiler and c to wade through this.

I expect the solution is simple if I knew where to look. I don't. So, help. Please. I miss logjam a lot.

Did you run make in the top-level directory?

Make sure you have an images/pixbufs.h (it should weigh about 750k). If not run make in images/ .

Re: lj client

pixbufs.h is size 0. removed it, ran make at that level and all (nearly) is well. Bless you.

Re: lj client

there was a bug somewhere where it built things in the wrong order that could cause that, but in any case i'm glad it works.

Thanks for this

I had the same problem, but haven't gotten around to decyphering the cause. Holidays and all that.

Thanks, all.

SUSE 9.0 RPM

Here's an RPM I made a while back... Hope this helps!

Re: lj client

I tried your rpm the first time I was trying to get a client working. It broke on dependencies. That was useful information that I used to discover what SuSE packages I needed to install but hadn't.

My business partner and I are in cahoots with Novell about possible features to add to the SuSE install scripts. The big missing that we see is an "install everything" check box.

Thanks for the RPM, though. I would have struggled on for a lot longer if it hadn't been available when I was first working the problem.
