Re: for the lazy ....

Wow, very cool.

Can I put this on the main LoserJabber page?
Do you care to maintain a "stable" version of the .debs?

As if that wasn't enough...

Since no day would be complete without a RedHat / Debian contest :), I've created an RPM and SRPM of version 1.9.6. You can find them at:

LoserJabber-1.9.6-1.i386.rpm

LoserJabber-1.9.6-1.src.rpm

If they meet your standards, please put them on Sourceforge so my little server doesn't get crushed.

Also, I think I'm missing something. Version 1.9.6 contains a pixmaps directory, but none of its contents seem to get installed during make install. The makefile says they should go to /usr/local/share/LoserJabber, but that directory is never created. What's up with these files?

Re: As if that wasn't enough...

Wow, thanks for the RPMs.
I can't test them, so I hope they work ok. :)

Do you have any problems with the pixmaps? The Makefile says that they're part of the source distribution, but it doesn't say they should be installed. XPMs are commonly used in projects because they're actually compiled in to the binary, so you don't need to create a /usr/share/LoserJabber (/usr/local/share/LoserJabber) directory upon install.

I hate it when installed stuff goes in multiple places. LoserJabber is just the executable, nothing more. :)

Re: As if that wasn't enough...

Ah. Right. Got it.
No, I'm not having any problems with the pixmaps. I didn't understand that they were compliled into the binary. Now I do.
Thanks :)
