The CVS version can read the config files of the older one, but the old one can't handle the CVS config files.

You'll have to add your users again.

LogJam 3.1.x will use XML for the configuration file, so this won't be a problem. The existing configuration file format is pretty lame.

i'm using the CVS version. When the login screen comes up, it shows my username, but no password. if I go to the Users... dialog box, click my username, then Edit, the password box is filled in. If I then press OK and get out of the edit user box, my password is filled into the mail login screen. Strange.

doh. this always happens to me, especially with gaim CVS. the only time there's a problem that actually affects me, it's been fixed in CVS and i hadn't updated that day.

BTW, about that debian Logjam release thingee - Isn't there already a LogJam release (3.0.0)? I just thought the maintainer of the loserjabber package was too lazy to make another one for logjam... For some reason my Debian maintainer status isn't getting anywhere even though I've completed all the steps, so I'd do it myself if I could.

debian

Nah, actually, the Debian maintainer mailed me, hurt, because I had someone else (you) make .debs. He'll do the official ones, but LogJam 3.0.0 had some icky bugs.
