hey

was that off by an hour bug the reason my system kept complaining about file being newer than blah blah check system clock?

no.. and the ./autogen.sh seems to have helped .. but I do get things like

make[2]: *** Warning: File `history.c' has modification time in the future
make[2]: *** Warning: Clock skew detected. Your build may be incomplete.

when compiling. it does build a working lj tho.

Try an "ls -l --time=mtime history.c" to get the modification time.
Play around with "--time=atime" and "--time=ctime" to see if you can find any dates in the future. All of the dates look fine, here.
