Jolan (jolan@enteract.com) has volunteered to maintain an OpenBSD port of LoserJabber.

Meanwhile, the FreeBSD port hasn't changed status in over a month.
Ryan seems to be doing his best, but these things take time...

The other thing that may have got me was in between the 4.1.1 and 4.2 releases, they switched the format of their port directories, and I submitted under the old format.

The FTP files reflect these changes, and I've resubmitted them, describing this. The new PR is at
http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=23318.

So now we'll see what happens.

if you need help getting a port committed... i can probably help you out since i know a good chunk of the freebsd and openbsd developers.

let me know if you want me to try speeding the process up.

I have a feeling the holdup is that loserjabber is not as high a priority as some of the more used applications being ported, and time is limited to FBSD committers (who are mostly developing).

If you know them, and if you can do this, by all means, go for it. =) Would be much appreciated.

loserjabber is now in the FreeBSD ports collection (it was committed two days ago). It already appears in CVS. It should appear on the web pages soon.
