LogJam LiveJournal client removed from Gentoo Linux

I've made a post about this here: http://tothwolf.livejournal.com/37751.html

I'm posting a link to the post rather than making a complete post here to help reduce the amount of clutter on people's friends-list pages.

Update: Looks like someone will be putting LogJam back into portage: http://tothwolf.livejournal.com/37751.html#cutid2

Crap. I've never even noticed the xmms bug as I don't use the music option...

Well, at least LogJam is easy to compile the old-fashioned way...

I never had a problem with the xmms support but it has been awhile since I used it. I ended up writing a small shell script to poll a number of media players and an external device to see what I had playing.

This was never a good thing to find out at ~3am after having updated Gentoo though. I'd manually unmasked the package back in November and thought a proxy maintainer had stepped in (based on the follow ups posted on the bug tracking page).
