it would be super-awesome if you could define programs to filter an entry through when you press something. then i could write my entries in markdown or something, and logjam would convert them to HTML.

we've talked about this a few times.
the hard part is that once you post, you can't get back the original markdowned post when you edit in the future...

Every so often I'm tempted to rewrite in Ruby, as it's significantly more productive than C and I have the LJ libraries in place already.

But then I think it'd be more fun to use Haskell, and then I think it'd be way less fun to reimplement the LJ libraries in Haskell.

And that I have better things to do...
